Cooey 600 - Which rings/bases?

I think someone mentioned Weaver #2 side mount in another thread.. requires drilling.

I'd considered putting a cheapo scope onto mine, but the cost of the work and scope would probably be more than the cost of the gun.

Heck, who am I kidding. I'm still considering it, just mulling over where to take it :)

My cooey 600 has a #2 sidemount and matching Weaver rings. Fixed 4x Bushy. minute of gopher out to 80yrds (farthest kill with this gun).

Phronq: My 600 was so accurate I sould my Ruger 10/22 and kept the cooey. these old guns are no slouch.

Cowboy,

Like these?

If that means I can go buy 3/8 dovetail rings and a scope and don't need to drill, I'm going shopping!

yup! dovetails!!!

DO NOT BY LYNX RINGS. cheap P.O.S. rings.

it;s only a .22, but they way they get tossed around in the field invest in some sturdier stuff. the burris / leupold ones are nice ;)

picked up a fixed 4x32mm Bushy from cdn tire for $50.

I picked up a $15 Bushnell "4x Sportview .22 Riflescope" for $15.99 at Crappy Tire, took less than five minutes to put it on, and the included rings fit my Cooey.

They're not nice rings by any means, but they seem to be doing the job :)

Are the Leupold rings called "Leupold No Tap Ringmounts?" If so, who sells them? I don't see them in either the SIR or Wholesale catalogs.

Wholesale Sports:

Leupold .22 Rimfire 1" ringmounts Page 92 $58.99

Burris 1" .22 Rings Page 87 $28.99

Burris 1" Deluxe .22 Rings page 87 $38.99

I had a set of millet high mounts. I was able to put a 40mm scope on it.
Get the ones with the angled claws. This way the bolt is still removable without taking off the mounts
