Cooey 600 Woes

Cooey Model 600, 22 Cal



Hi, I have a Cooey Model 600, 22 Cal, bolt action. This was handed down to me and it's been around awhile. Unfortunately the stock has two large cracks in it which are being held together by gun tape. I was going to buy a stock from someone but they took their ad down.

Does anybody think it's worth having a stock made for this rifle? Just a simple one with inexpensive wood. I don't really have a choice now other than doing this.

Have you tried repairing the cracks ? You can always run an ad looking for a used stock .

For what they are worth put up an ad for a used rifle either a model 60 or 600 stock will work.
You will have another stock and parts too.

If you would be paying someone to make a stock the answer is no. The typical 600 is a $150.00 gun give or take depending on condition. I doubt anyone would make you a stock for $150.00.

If the cracks aren't oil soaked, epoxy can work wonders.

It's a Cooey, just epoxy the cracks. Enjoy it for what it is.
