I just bought a cooey/Winchester 64, after getting it home I disassembled it and found it seems to be missing the extractor spring. This is an older model 64, with the spring style ejector and extractor, and plastic magazine, not the flat plate style the new savage/lakefields have. Im having trouble finding one locally and was wondering if anyone knew where I could get one, or will a whole new bolt assembly from a savage gun work in the cooey?

Wire style? Are you looking for an extractor, or an ejector? I have converted my 'ol 64 to use flat plate styled ejector, and cut a couple of ejectors from a saw blade.

Spring style extractors(retained by a screw, and not a roll pin) can still be found. If you strike out at Epps, try a wtb in the EE.

im looking for the extractor, the screw is in there, but the piece is just not there. Ive already contacted western gun parts and epps, and I have a pretty good lead on getting one there for fairly cheap. Do you have any pics of your ejectors though? Sounds like a great idea if that little paper clip looking one I have ever kicks the bucket.
