I have cut the flat plate style ejector out of a dollar-store saw blade to replace a bent wire ejector on my 64. The hole in the barrel that retains it needs to be enlarged, and the groove/channel in the barrel it sits in needed to be made a bit deeper. I used a dremel for the groove. MY local smith (now closed) could have gotten an original spring style for me, but who has 2 weeks??
Extractors are quite different with original being a spring screwed into the bolt, and the newer being flat plate with a spring, and pinned in place.
