Is it possible to convert the original cooey 64 with plastic mag, to use new savage ejectors/extractors?
Maybe the extractor is already the same?

The newer models have a different extractor. The old ones use spring steel held in place by a screw

You can update the mag well to the new keyhole style mags though

The original Model 64 ejector was a bent wire. Changing to the new pattern ejector would require a new barrel - the ejector mounts to the barrel.
Getting the new pattern extractor would require a new bolt.
See where this is going?

Sure do, thank you.

anyone know where i could locate one of the old style spring ejectors and screws (without breaking the bank)?

I have cut the flat plate style ejector out of a dollar-store saw blade to replace a bent wire ejector on my 64. The hole in the barrel that retains it needs to be enlarged, and the groove/channel in the barrel it sits in needed to be made a bit deeper. I used a dremel for the groove. MY local smith (now closed) could have gotten an original spring style for me, but who has 2 weeks??

Extractors are quite different with original being a spring screwed into the bolt, and the newer being flat plate with a spring, and pinned in place.
