Cabelas canada has them available for $29.99 for the Savage 64

My Cooey 64A has a metal mag, not plastic but still doesnt work with the Savage Mags.

I think the savage mags work fine with the Cooey 64B

My Cooey 64A works just fine with the new production mags as well as the older metal version.

On my Cooey the magazine rimfire angle is different between the old Cooey64 pot metal mag and my Savage Mags. Instant FTF but may just be my gun as I don't know what the previous owner did to convert to metal mags. I bought 3 of those new mags but no luck with any of them.

There were actually 3 different variations of the Cooey 64. The original 64, the 64A and the 64B. The A and B models both came from the factory with the metal mag. It sounds like you may have a 64 instead of a 64A.
