picked up an ancient cooey 64 for $20, but it has the old style magazine, which slides up on guide, and is NOT compatible with the later ones that will accept savage 64 mags. how hard are these to find, and if i do find them what can i expect to pay?i also heard there was a conversion kit that allows it to accept the savage mags.

i converted my cooey to the newer keyhole style mag's, you will need the new mag well and the metal mag well plate that screw's to the bottom of the stock, also i ended up cutting the old thin L shaped spring retainer off rite at the bend in it then useing the piece of it with the hole's to space the new mag well down otherwise the bolt would hit the top of the new mag.
good luck finding the old plastic mag's they are a antique collector's item now and nobody make's them anymore.
but the good new's is when i was looking for the parts to convert there where several gun nutz on the board with the newer part's!!!!!!
