Have a question for you guys:
Is the guide rod for the recoil spring supposed to be pressed iinto the bolt or shout it be a sliding fit? I see that the newer savages are able to come apart, but not sure about the older cooeys. When the bolt is out of the rifle the hammer and springs are still held together firmly.
I'm trying to diagnose why i'm getting so many failure to ejects and short cycling. Just picked it up and want to get it sorted out because I like how it handles.
