Anyone know years of bolts that interchange? I have a early style and the charging handle diameter is bigger than others. I need a new bolt in the future and not sure exactly the year/ model as i have no serial#. Pre 68 im guessing thx for any help

If it had a serial number it wouldn't tell you the year anyhow as there are no records. As far as model, that will be marked on the barrel unless it has been sanded off and reblued. Does it have a plastic clip or been converted to a metal clip?

Pot metal magwell and will take new savage mags, cooey winchester western canada limited modle 64 . Have u come accross different sizes of charging handles, bolts on these? I thought they were all the same...

newer savage 64 bolts will not fit the older rifles , so you need an action that fits that gun. Model 64 Winchester and Lakefield should fit fine but probably as expensive as the entire gun. Many of them for sale here and parts too.

So im lookin for cooey winchester or lakefield bolt?but it sounds like im lookin for a whole rifle then? For the price...

you need not only the bolt but also the housing. The charging handle slot is worn out as each time the gun cycled, the handle slid back in the slot and soon it wears out. So up to you but all you have is a barrel, mag and stock. If the action is that worn, what is the barrel like? It handled as many shots as the action.

Gun still functions fine, exept for sloppy charge handle still accurate with scope , but sounds like maybe time to move on ... No jams etc yet but dont like sloppy charging handle
