Cooey 64B mags

Do they make a mag that would fit an old Cooey 64B. Was there a 64 model ie what does B stand for a improvement?

Savage 64 is the "new" version and those magazines will work, I believe you can make a 64 into a 64B by swapping some parts, someone more knowledgeable should chime in with the for sure answer though.

The original Cooey model 64 used a plastic magazine. The model 64A and 64B both use the same magazine as the Savage 64.

There was a replacement assembly around, remove one and install the new part then use the metal mags.
I have had them in the past but sold them off over the years.

I've converted 2 Mod.64's into 64B's. Western Gun Parts used to carry the kits and if you have basic tool knowledge, it's a no-brainer. The original mags were nylon IIRC, not plastic. Nylon was the new miracle product at the time, but the magazine became friable (brittle) over the years and started to break very easily. The only part that had any challenge to it was the metal mag well plate. With some patience and small Dremel grinding wheels, I reconfigured the plate to accept the new mags And to confirm, the Savage mags work just fine.
