Cooey 64B

Hi

I bought an old cooey 64B from a club member and was told that the rifle was old and in his family for many years.
That got me curious....how old could it be? No dates or nothing on the rifle...
Is there a way to know the year of manufacture by the serial number? Mr Google couldn't tell me much this time.....
The serial is CA1405xx, manufactured in Cobourg, ON by Winchester.

Serial numbers did not become compulsory until after 1968. Cooey started the manufacture process and sold to Winchester who inturn sold to Lakefield- Mossberg then sold to Savage. I do not know if dates were kept on serial numbers or just the number of guns produced.
