Cooey 75

Brownells offer a 12 inch blank 3/8 inch dovetail mount to fit a round reciever. A piece of this can be used and two holes drilled tapped into the top of the receiver and a scope mounted directly on top. It looks good and works well. Any gunsmith should be able to do the job. It is nicer than the side mounted base.

I bought one of these recently, it needs a ton of work to get in order, that's okay though. Was thinking about the brownell's scope mount too, will that make the loading port hard to get at? What's the bbl length on your 75, jigger08?

by the way, here's info from Brownells about ordering parts

Currently we are holding your order. The order contains items the US Commerce Depart-ment regulates under the Export Administration Regulations. Brownells will need to ap-ply to the Commerce Department for a license in order to ship this order to you.

We will need an import permit from your country and a written order from you before we can make this application. You will need to mail these documents to us; our Commerce Department will not accept fax copies.

The combination of your country of residence or delivery and Shotgun parts (ECCN: 0A984), Sighting device (ECCN: 0A987) and/or other Non-specific gun parts (ECCN: 0A018) is the reason for this Commerce Department license requirement. The attached order marks the products in question.

Any one familiar with mounting a scope on one of these .22's?

Yup. What works great, since the receiver is so short, is to put one base on the receiver, and one on the barrel. I forget what number of Weaver base it is, but use same one on the barrel with a spacer the thickness to match the receiver. Of course you have to drill and tap for these.
