Cooey 82 Trainer

Picked this Cooey 82 trainer up today. Interesting with the chrome butt plate, bands, trigger guard and swivels. Have you seen one of these before?

I believe a few Air Cadet sqdns in Ontario had some hardware chromed for parade drills.
St Catherines maybe. Likely other provinces did the same.

Oh and "Nice Rifle" !!!

there are no numbers or anything stamped anywhere on this gun

Nice looking, I just picked one up last fall and am currently restoring / cleaning it up. Finding it hard (near impossible) to find original screws for the bands, mine were both bent with crushed threads ... From my understanding you and I both have the “rare” post contract commercial version due to the lack of markings. Others I’m sure will know more.

Very nice rifle. Chrome is a nice touch. If your looking for a challenge try getting the peep sight for one.

I've got one complete and a second one with a few missing parts (but both have the peep sight)

The chrome bands and trigger scream drill rifle. I had a chrome barrel, receiver, and trigger that I sold a while back. I suspect that it was on its way to be built into a drill rifle.
