So as I continue to thin out the heard and list some of my firearms on the EE, I made the decision to put one of my beloved Cooey 84's on the market. Then I discovered something a little special hidden on the inside of the buttplate. The original owner scratched in his name and details when he bought the gun. So instead of putting the gun on the EE, I'm starting this thread with the hopes of maybe reconnecting the gun to its original owner. The details include the following;

Original Owner
Paul Robertson, Moffat, Ontario
Halton County
Lot 18, Cons 3
Age- 15, Born 1936
Feb 19
$25
1952
"My 4th Gun"

Is anybody reading this making a connection?

Now that area is the town of Milton. Former Township of Nassagaweya. I fear the fields and areas that young Paul hunted with that gun are now malls and parking lots. White pages have 11 listings for Paul Robertson in Milton assuming he is alive and did not move very far from home. Very cool and nice to see.

I did a google map look up and I suspect you are right. It appears that this land has been developed. I did a whitepages look uo to, but Im hoping not to call all these people with news that I found a gun. Milton has very different kind of people nowadays then when this gun was in Paul's hands

If you have not already considered this perhaps make a call saying you have some old family photos or something that only has value to a real family member. This may connect you to the real family and cut out the chaff. It is worth doing, I received my Father's 22 Cooey ( he passed away last year) and it sure is special to me.

I hope you are successful in making someone in Paul's life (maybe even Paul) happy by doing this kind deed. I know if I was Paul it would be appreciated. Hopefully it will bring back great memories .
