Howdy. Recently I aquired a 12 ga barrel for a cooey 840 that used to have a 20 gauge on it. Safe to shoot a 12 off a 20 reciever? Locks up tight. Seem good. I know I should take it to a gunsmith but just wondering if anyone has experience with this idea/ situation.

The recievers are the same size for all gages I made a up a set with all bbl's on the reciever worked as long as there is no play when it is closed and also ale site the the primer does not back out pf the case when fired
