My Grandpa's old truck gun sat in my Dad's safe for decades and now it's in my safe. I want to restore it, but before I tear it apart to redo the wood and reblue it, I need a few parts. The main one is the spring is gone that holds the forend on. Does anyone know where I can get one?

Also anyone have any tips on how to get the old stain and laquer out of the checkering? I think I'd like to redo the wood with tung oil.

Circa 1856 wood stripper and a old toothbrush to remove the old finish.Western Gun Parts in Edmonton should be able to fix you up with parts.

I think Numrich has parts for that shotgun. At least they used to. My FIL has the exact same gun and I got him a firing pin for it. Shipping and export fee is ~$45 so find some people that need parts from there too.......

Ive got the complete fore-end assembly . It's been in the parts drawer for longer than I can remember . PM me your address and I'll send it down , it's on me . Happy birthday lol
