Cooey ACE for my little girl

And the shoot n see targets are a hoot too. Kids love to be able to see what happened right away... damned instant gratification.

Petrock you
You know when you see a smile like that all the time and effort was well worth it. Plus the personal touch of creating this yourself just for your daughter...
Outstanding!
I just wish that more dad's now days did more thing's like this to get our kid's off the couch and out enjoying life.

I now have to wait a little over seven years to do it again for my son :) It will be interesting to see in a couple years when I do the "shotgun for my little girl" thread... or maybe the "AR 15 for my little girl" thread...

By then maybe I'll be living in Texas and I'll get on here to post the "Here is my little girl with her first full auto smg" hehehehe

this is an awesome thread. nothing nicer to get your kids into the sport. thats how i got into it. im 34 now i cant wait to have kids so i can share the passion.....for now i got my wife hooked, got her a simple 597 with a scope combo..it isnt pink but she loves it

Excellent, the continuation of our gun ownership depends on responsible youth an female membership. Good luck and hope they find it as fun as mine did.

I'm doing my part initiating young women into the sport. It took 16 yrs to get my oldest to come shoot, but when she realized how much fun her younger sister was having, she finally came along with us. :D:D

Heavy bullet, you better keep an eye on those girls. They're gonna attract a lot of boys lol. Time to mine the yard and put up razor wire.

Have a old fixed sight Co-oey Rabbit .22 that with my poor eyes have trouble past 25 yards hitting anything. My son can smack gophers with at 80 yards! Bought as long as your arm...............Harold

HAHAHAHA!!!
OMG I think I am crying after reading that last statement! Imagine...
Hi sir. Is your daughter ready? Almost but I was wondering if you could help me out for a sencond. Come in here...
LOL!!!
Thanx I needed that.

I made sure my daughter's suitors knew I was a gun enthusiast, nicely dropping hints and well-chosen loaded words.:D

But any boy driving a van or big car was definitely banned!!!

Turned out the boy she married had a Glock and I've given them his and hers S&W Model 65s and a Yugo SKS.

My little guy is 19 months and I'm already thinking ahead to how I'm going to get him to the range. I'm thinking a Red Ryder sometime in the spring and then try out the powder burners once he's got a year of toting that around. I figure if it takes just enough effort to #### that he can't do it himself then thats probably a good thing for now.
Every kid needs a Cooey as a first 22lr, thats how it's done!

We've got #2 on the way right now and I'm hoping for a girl. So that little Cooey my son gets will end-up pink in the end :)

pink gun

Great job Petrock, your a good dad !........ I can relate to the princess pink ... Had my 8yr daughter at P&D in edm ,been in there dozens of times and never noticed a pink ruger 10/22 until my lil girl pointed out:)

Well she's 8 and can work the bolt on the Cooey but can't #### the firing pin by herself. I feel pretty safe that she can handle her own ammunition (we give them too her one at a time), chamber the cartridge and work the bolt. But Daddy has to #### the rifle, so we know when she's ready and good to go.

If you've got the cash go for it. Sometimes they're hard to find in Pink.

If you don't have the money you can do what I did for approx $100 including rifle and paint.
