Hey all
My local gun shop was unable to assist me in my issue with my cooey so I am hoping someone here can. My girlfriend owns a cooey model 39, recently I notice light primer strikes as some rounds took two tries to fire, I switched her to a higher quality ammo and took out the gun again. Seemed to work better, however fast forward several weeks to Sunday and it will NOT fire at all. When I removed the bolt and inspected I noticed the spring in the rear was still very strong but the firing pin on the front end moves almost totally freely. As in I can hold it upside down and it will descend a few millimeters. Has anyone had this happen, or better yet know how to fix it?
Thanks in advance
Ben

The firing pin is supposed to float freely when there is no pressure on the striker. Sounds like there may be something slowing the striker down. De-grease the bolt, try Brake-Kleen or something similar (boiling soapy water). Get a toothpick and get into the boltface/extractor groove and remove all the crud.
