Cooey Canuck .25 Calibre

We did this once, but I cannot find the thread, either. We also had a great piece on "making" the .25 ammo.

Cooey first manufactured a firearm in 1919 and called it the Canuck. Several different variations were made and as you know it was also made in the 25 cal(stevens short & long). The 25 cal first came out in1925. The very early canuck 22 cal had a ser # and of course many people say "cooeys had no ser# " which of course is not true. If you post a pic or give detailed description of the bolt and stock we may be able to date it. You can PM me a pic also if you don't want to post-----Cowboy

Think a percussion cap or Hilti cap was used in conjunction with a ball if that helps the search.

There was one in a wooden presentation type case on the EE several months ago (ROB870? if memory serves). I was sorely tempted but cant afford guns I cant shoot.
