Not really. The older ones have a very simple bolt lever, while the newer ones (still old) may have a ball on the lever. It may just be a replacement using the Canuk bolt. Your only real source would be the failing memories or perhaps a picture of the rifle with a previous owner. The one I have was from the mid 1920s, but no one could nail down the actual purchase date. They were produced from 1920 until unknown (but probably early), since they remained single shot (pull to set the firing pin) with no upgrades. Everyone still alive and passed-on (old age at 95) remembered shooting it for the first time at the tender age of 5 or 6. Even my brothers and I used it for plinking, every chance we could back in the 60s. Targets were whatever your imagination could think of. As you know, they are tiny rifles.

From what I have heard, there is no collector value to them. It does have great sentimental value with many memories of use!
 
From John Belton's book, the Canuck Jr. was produced from 1923 until 1929. Collector value depends on what you consider value. There are many who collect these old Cooeys. If you are expecting vintage Winchester or Marlin prices, then no. But if you are expecting $200.00 give or take depending on condition, then yes. I sold one about a year ago and had no problem getting $200.00. I still have one that's a little nicer than the one I sold . These were boy's guns so someone who collects boy's rifles might also be interested.
