Looks like I'm going to be doing the conversion to a Cooey carcano(6.5x54MS to 7.62x39) by using a lee enfield barrel.its a natural conversion as 7.62x39 cycles perfectly in the carcano's standard en block clips and you don't need to change/modify the bolt face or ejector. Also you don't need to have a chamber reamer, all you have to do is take a certain amount of the treaded shanks off and rethread for the action as the neck and body are the same as the 303 British.
Also I'm going to drill and tap it for a scope mount. Anybody have a recomendation for a solid mount preferably weaver railed or with built in 1" rings
This is going to be my spare time project so it will take awhile but I will do a step by step for others as there's not much for instructions out there so I'm going to try as best as I can to explain my R&D problems for others wanting to do it
