hello. new here not sure where to post this but interested in the value of a cooey model 82. has round rear peep sight. shoots very nice ejector works. curious as to what its worth having a hard time finding a solid price thanks

Depends on condition and if it is complete . Is it a full wood model? Is it a civilian version or does it have the Canadian broad arrow mark as well as a serial number on the bottom of the pistol grip? Could be anywhere from $130.00 to $400.00 for a super nice complete original trainer version, and that means original finish. Can you show a pic.

not sure how to post a pic here. its not full wood stock. im not 100% sure if its a trainer or not either. theres a stamping on the barrel but its hard to make out

There was also the model 78 that never had a full stock. It was the same as the 75 except it had a peep sight and front target sight. However, the barrel should be clearly marked model 82 so it would not be the model 75 or 78. There was also a model 82 version that was available without the full stock (basically the same as the model 78) but I don't believe they were used as trainers. If your gun has a broad arrow "C" marking, or a serial number on the bottom of the pistol grip, then it was a trainer that has had it's front wood and band removed. As mentioned, value would drop a lot. If there are no markings or serial number, then it was a civilian version. It could then be either the model 82 that was available without the full wood or it could be a full wood civilian version that has had the front wood removed. You mentioned peep sight. Original peep sight was just a small 90 degree bracket that an aperture screwed into and it was mounted at the very end of the receiver on top. It should also have a rear barrel sight.
To post pics you have to use a host such as photo bucket.
Below are pics of a couple of full wood 82 trainers as well as the peep sight.

It's still there B 1211 any idea on a value of it? Debating wether to sell it or keep it

Really too bad someone bastardized it. They are great shooters that like subsonic rounds at least mine does. You never know you may find another that has good full wood but has issues with the rest of it. This is from a guy that was able to mount a scope using the existing holes from the sights. I have been meaning to do the same with mine as eyes don't work anymore with iron sights.

It's a awesome gun to shoot I use the 222 Winchester bulks and this 22 is very accurate its fun to shoot woulda been nice to have the full wood thou

That's a cool way to mount a scope

It's value now is no more than a Cooey single shot 39 or 75, maybe even lower because of it having a non original sporterized stock . Because of the peep sight you might get around $100.00 for it. You wouldn't get that much without the peep. By the time a person found a stock, band, swivels, proper front sight set up and the rear sight, it would be a costly effort.

I am in the process of restoring 2 Cooey model 39's. (Not sure why!). Probably because it was the first real rifle that I shot.
I am looking for a front and rear sight.

Because like many of these guns, a restoration is done for the enjoyment, not value. List a WTB in the EE for your parts. You could also contact gunrunner100.
