Just cleaning a 22 for a friend, but can't get bolt out unless I take stock off. All others of this type you just pull bolt back, pull trigger and out she comes. What (if I am) am i doing wrong. By the way its my first post in this forum. JITC:slap::confused:

You indeed have to take the stock off, and back off the screw that holds the magazine assembly in contact with the bolt, tip it down, then hold the trigger and remove the bolt. It's not hard, but it's not practical for just cleaning, my old model 60 gets a bore snake to keep things simple.

I have a 60 too and it is factory drilled for a scope...may have to slip to the sports store and pick up the sidemount for it. Accurate gun even for it age.

yes I love shooting mine also, even if my son is the one who uses it for groundhogs now. I took this hog with it this spring.
