Cooey Model 39 Extractor Problem

A friend of mine just called and he has two Cooey 39's, they fire OK but the extractor won't remove the spent case.

Is there a source for replacement extractors in Canada?

Also is there a trick to removing and putting them in the bolt without breaking them?

I have tried for years to find these and have been unsuccessful. I did find some at a gunsmith once and he wanted more for them than the gun is worth. The 39's I have have been passed down in my family and they are the guns everyone learnt to shoot with.

I am sure western gun parts in edmonton has them. But they probally will not sell them to you unless your a gunsmith.I have lots here at 20.00 installed. But i have to have the gun to do the installing.Every gunsmith in Canada should have these as a standard item Don
