A neighbor asked me to have a look at his old Cooey model 60. He said it would not fire a round or eject it. I looked at the bolt and immediately saw that it is missing the extractor claw/claws. Would this then prevent the rifle from firing a round. The firing pin is barely making a mark on the case.

Does this rifle have at least two separate problems?

Is there a source in Canada for Cooey parts? I'm just trying to help a guy out.

JR Cooey parts is the go to guy for parts he does it mainly on Facebook failing that which is doubtful he doesn't have the part, I have a couple of spare bolts. As for not firing you have more than one issue the firing pins and striker springs are notorious for getting crud behind them so a good strip and clean might solve the light strike problem. They are a PITA to get apart if you do have a bad spring or striker pin order the whole striker assembly it will save you problems and headaches. The missing extractor claws shouldn't cause the failing to fire issue.
