OK, what's the trick? I've not removed a lot of receivers, but this little *&*&** (appologies to new board rules) is ubelieivable. I just want to switch one for another.

On one gun the threads apear to be staked? How do you get it to move?
I need a bigger vise! Barrel keeps slipping in the blocks. Heat is a no go too. Soaking in oil now.

I don't think they are threaded....just press fit with a cross pin to retain.......and they are pressed in GOOD....

If it is a pin, it's in a blind hole

I can't see one on the other gun, but maybe a little polishing will reveal it. If that's the case, I can easily drill the pin, and press it out, but I need it confirmed.

Or is it just press fit......perhaps I'm mistaken and it is only pressed in without a cross pin, but I know theyare on there good and tight...
