Got a question for the gunsmiths out there. If one were to theoretically drill and tap for set of weaver top scope mounts on a model 60 cooey, what mounts does a guy go with. Not interested in the side mount #2.

That would work for a forward mount like the winchester model 60. I think somehting a little more like the remington model 510 mounts, only thing is to make sure the bolt will clear the mount. Numbers 43 and 42 (a shorter mount on the front to clear the chamber). The model 510 can use the weaver side mount #2 as well, so the diameter of the chamber must be the same.

Weaver 22 is also recommended on another site for the model 82.

43 works perfect on the front and back. Confirmed tonight. With a 1 inch base. Now to find a 3/4 base for my single shot cooey.
