I need some of you Cooey Experts to provide me with some advice on an issue i am having. I just picked the gun up so i took it out to try today. Shot the first round and cycled the second round perfectly. Pulled the trigger and it wasnt cocked. Took the mag out and pulled the bolt back and the round didnt extract. I let go of the bolt and it slam fired. I assumed it was dirty so i went home and did a complete tear down and clean. Went back out and same issue. I am assuming the sear is not engaging the bolt, but i would like to know a fix for this. Any recommendations appreciated

Boy, this hurts the head.
Haven't had one apart for a bit.
Make sure the barrel is in the receiver correctly.
Seems they can cant a wee bit that might cause some issues.

First things first:
Take it apart again, clean and scrub the inside of the receiver, the bolt and firing pin with a toothbrush, warm water and dish soap. Dry with compressed air. Try not to lube them with oil. They run well dry.
Inspect the trigger mechanism to see if it's been fvcked with (attempt to lighten trigger pull...). Sometimes they get a little rusty and the sear reset spring can't do it's job.
Clean the chamber with a bore brush spun on a drill and a little Hoppe's or other bore solvent just to see if it's a dirty chamber or bad extractor.
They are an easy rifle to work on and when fixed, work really well.

It also sounds like there are a couple of different issues going on, extractor, trigger, firing pin. A complete tear down, including the bolt and a detail cleaning seems to be the correct course of action to start. Any worn parts will be evident after that.

Forgot to add-
The two screws that hold the trigger mechanism and magazine well in are notoriously malleable metal and often get buggered. If the parts aren't held onto the receiver tight or in the correct sequence, it won't hold the striker back.
