I've picked up my first rim fire, and it also happens to be a nice piece of Canadian history. I have a few questions about it since I'm relatively new to firearms and this being my first older rifle.

Its already been tapped for a scope, I was wondering what mount I'm going to need and if there is any place available in Canada that sells them? Also I was wondering how to take out the bolt? I don't have the rifle in my possession yet but I've read a few things on removing the bolt and haven't really found any answers. Thanks in advance!

as for scope mounts, well I guess that depends on how it was tapped by the previous owner. Take the rifle to a gun shop or at least measurements of the holes. Bolt removal on the 82 is simple, you just hold the trigger and pull the bolt out. It's the tube fed repeaters and such that can be a puzzle.

I have one also and some farmer ( literally) in the 1950's welded part of a mossberg rifle breach to the Cooey to add a scope mount. It scares me but it works. Funny part is the damm thing is very accurate.
