Is there any way to bump up the spring tension on an old cooey bolt action single shot so that it hits the primer harder?
I have a 25 Stevens I am working on making ammo for using 17 WSM as a parent case but the force needed to ignite the powder on the modern case is quite a bit more than on the old 25 Stevens. I do not think this is something that is possible but thought I would throw it out there to the more experienced.
I am loading FFFg in the case, not modern powder, my first test shots took 2-5 hits on the primer to make them go bang.
