I figured this would get more attention here, as a Cooey, than it would in the handgun section.

I'll let the pictures do the talking, I don't have much to add anyways, as I don't know much about it and have hardly used it. But I'm curious what the in house Cooey fans think: legit prototype from the factory or someone's seriously modified Model 39?

Super impractical being a right handed bolt action, single shot with a hand grip carved for a right hand. Although, it can be held left handed fairly comfortably.

Very nice!
Wow, someone put a lot of work into that.
The only pistol I know of was the XSP made by Winchester Cooey.

XSP (prototype)
This pistol was produced in the post Winchester era at the Cobourg factory. It was called the Experimental Sealing Pistol or XSP. It never went into production but examples of this prototype are known to exist and are highly prized by Winchester collectors.[

This is the only list I know of. Not sure it's official or not.

Interesting trigger system. Expected to see a linkage to a conventional sear.
A lot of work went into that.

That puppy was made by a craftsman with good skills. I like the drilling out of the striker part of the bolt to quicken up the locktime a tad & the trigger rework
looks decent and straight forward. I reckon that niffty bugger was built back between 1960 and 1975 going by the Man From Uncle/James Bond look of 'er.
(Blended with a dash of inspiration from the Remington XP-100 of course.)

Fookin' nice job on that one.:cool::cool:

As a collector of little Cooey single shots.
And an avid shooter of a Remington XP-100

That's one of the coolest firearms I've seen in a long time.
Thank you for giving us a peek at her...
