Cooey training rifle

For the most part I see Cooey M82 training rifles in .22lr. But I have also seen 1 or 2 in 30-06. Whats the history of this rifle? Are they supposed to be in .22lr or is that a conversion from the 30-06?

Cooey had a line of civilian hunting rifles. If you're seeing a Cooey .30-06, that's likely what you've seen.
