I think this is gotta be one of the coolest looking muzzle brake available. It's a Surefire MB556K. Does anybody have one and can comment. Also, where could I find one, which dealers can get Surefire products?

MB556K
Enables attachment of FA556K or FA556-212 suppressors to Colt Commando, M4, M16, HK 416 with 14.5" or longer barrel, and to other 5.56mm (.223 cal.) semi-auto, bolt-action, or assault rifles with Mil-Spec 1/2-28 muzzle threads and (due to slight overlap) first .170" of barrel behind thread shoulder clear of obstructions and no more than .800" in diameter. This adapter functions alone as a high-performance muzzle brake when the suppressor is removed. Patented design greatly diffuses side blast, counteracts up/right muzzle movement to keep muzzle on target, eliminates felt concussion on shooter. Heat-treated stainless steel construction.

Meh, it's only cool if you could use a can with it.

Its sad that event he people in the UK can have them...and are encouraged to use them for hunting but we can't in Canada. Once again it goes to show you that too may of our laws are based off of movies...if you have a can you are automatically an assassin.

Surefire's muzzle brake is excellent, even if we can't use the cans they're designed to work with. Muzzle control is excellent and follow up shots can be done very quickly. It makes rapids much less work for the shooter. It does blow ground debris all over the place to the left and right, and anyone shooting beside you won't be too pleased. Another thing is that it's a lot heavier than a A2 birdcage FH.

These aren't the best pictures, but it's the best my point-and-shoot camera can do

Yeah... Well, it becomes 1) an issue of extreme noise, 2) a safety issue when NOT using a can.

1) The extreme noise bothers other people/game in the wild...

2) A can, can reduce the decibels and help limit possible hearing damage. Even with a good set of ear protection you can still damage your hearing.

Friggen attention whore Lets hear all about that stock....

Still under development and testing. Needs a few bugs worked out yet but it is wicked cool. It uses a bufferless recoil system for minimum OAL when folded. That took a bit of work and fiddling to get to work reliably.

This is the CDN legal version ...... cause silencers are verboten. :(
