I think that this is the coolest pistol to come out in a long time. Too bad it's prohib here. If we had CCW I think I would use it. I'd buy it in a heart beat if we could.

I think it amazing that it's in 9mm not just 380.
Holds 6 rounds in the mag!
Overall length: 5.2 in.
Overall height: 3.7 in.
Pretty damn impressive!:dancingbanana::cool:

Like all extremely compact pistols chambered in 9mm, the R9 is known to suffer from reliability and durability issues. It's difficult to make a gun that would be this small and thin, chambered in a serious caliber, and reliable/durable at the same time.

yup, 12(6) owners can only buy existing firearms that were in Canada in when the legislation came into effect. no new 12(6) firearms can be imported into the country. it does suck... :mad:

I never knew that. Interesting.

When I lived in the US I carried a Seecamp .32 for many years, and I practiced regularly. Even with the .32 cartridge, practice was always a memorable event after a few rounds. I can only imagine what practice with a 9mm that small would be like. At one point I had one of the 9mm derringers, and had to give that up because (1) it was simply too painful to use, and (2) I couldn't regularly hit anything with it beyond about three meters. I'm sure in the heat of the moment the Rohrbaugh would be useful, but I'm not sure how much more useful than a .32 I can actually hit something with, it would be. I don't think I'd spend the money on the Rohrbaugh, which is admittedly a neat piece of work, but if there was not the "prohib" category, if concealed carry were legal, and the Seecamp were available, that's the one I'd prefer. If, if, if...

I think that they are a "Carry a lot, shoot a little" kind of pistol.

I would still prefer a J frame snubby with ammo designed for a short barrel.

I have a friend in Virginia Beach, VA, USA and he love his Rohrbaugh R9. Let me just add that this friend is very knowledgeable about handguns; he previously used a Kahr E9 for CCW. Regards, Richard:)
