cooper pepperbox nipples

Any one by chance know what size nipple were used in original JR Cooper pepperbox's ? Looking to replace a couple of them on a nice new toy I recently acquired.

Classified ? This is a JR Cooper 36 cal pepperbox roughly made from 1840 to 1853 I belive. Classified as antique.

In 1838 JR Cooper was issued a patent (UK) for a nipple design, this could mean that these nipples are unique to this maker. They may have a common thread pitch and diameter but the four sided design is not common.
You could try Dixie Gun Works, send them the dimensions ie: thread pitch, diameter and overall length...they may have something that will fit.

Thank you for that suggestion skinny, will send off an enquiry. The one in the pic is a replacement as the original one that is snapped flush has only two slots instead then the four.

Might be necessary to make replacements.
This would be a viable option.

Find a really good machinist and get the thread size, and go from there.

Looks like I might have found some replacement nipples that will fit from TOTW. Will post how the work when I get them in.
