copper plated ammo

would copper plated ammo such as cci mini mags keep your gun cleaner than lead rounds. I can get american eagle 40 grain high velocity for about $12.00 per brick cheaper than the mini mags. they seem to function with no problems.should I use them to save the money

If your gun likes it, use it! Just clean the barrel after every use and it shouldn't matter. Copper will still leave copper residue in the barrel.
