This is a longshot but does anyone know what powder Remington uses in their 25-06 120 gr Core Lokt Remington Express ammunition?

They shoot deadly in my brothers 25-06 and I would like to find out which powder they are using.

Thanks

should probably go to their website- all the "recepies" for the factory loads are PROBABLY there- they are with winchester and quite a few others- or drop them an e-mail- with the internet there are NO SECRETS anymore

They probably don't use a cannister type powder, instead they buy powder by the ton, test it out and use it to manufactor cartridges that it is appropriate for.

bisonhd's right, and you probably won't be able to match exactly - it can easily be some "secret" proprietary batch, just enough different to be unique. Some reloading manuals show the most accurate powders and loads and that can give you a good idea where to start. Their "how to use this data" sections are well worth reading - there's more to it than picking a powder because it contains your girlfriends phone number!

winchester , through olin-matheson, made their own powder- it's EXACTLY the same powder they sell and use in their factory loads- you put their bullet with their powder in their case with their primer and you'll end up with the same result- or at least they used to- now since winchester was taken over , i don't know-

stuff some RL22/H4831sc in there and giv'r - the bullet is the key, powder can make a difference, but usually not a HUGE difference.
