Well I bought a new reloading tool again this week imported it from ACROSS THE LINE, it is one of those Corbin tools (Hand) that will cannelure a bullet or put grease grooves on lead bullets (by changing the wheel in it).
Hated reloading 9mm Jacketed this thing makes it abreeze cannelure just like any bought bullet little crimp and whallah. This is and handy little gadget $112.00 USD a little expensive but personnally I think it was money well spent.
Thank Ken.

Semi-auto straightwall cases headspace on the case mouth, a light taper crimp is all that is required. Using cannalured bullets is not necessary and may introduce problems.

I would of just bought a lee taper crimp die for 9mm... or even a undersize die... instead of modifying each bullet. But my standard lee dies have no problem with reloading 9mm... and i belive most of the holding power in 9mm, .40, and .45 is the tension of inserting a bullet into a mouth that is a few thousands undersise(after sizeing), not crimp, or tapper crimp.

The only problem i have had where i could push the bullets in with reasonable force was with speer .40s&w brass.. i just chucked all that i had(50 peices)
