I was watching a special on the Military Channel about this device. Here is a quick video to show you how it works. It was created in Israel to help them fight terrorists, and from what I can see, it works great!

I've seen that firearm some years ago, in development stage. Didn't know they were actually using it.

I've enjoyed reading responses even more. Some wacky characters lurk in YouTube site...
 
I saw it at last years SHOT show, so it would seem they are marketing it. Someone on this site had a chance to fire one somehwere, and said it has a grossly heavy trigger pull.
 
I have fired the ones they used to film the CSI Miami episode. Heavy trigger pull is an understatement!!! Got to be at least 12lbs

In a building doing room to room clearing the cornershot is without equals, but it's a weapon with a limited aera of effective use. In any other situation you have to rely on your partner's AR to do the deed as in the end you only have a pistol..unless you have the version that mounts a kittycat ar in front.

And yes my comments comes from first hand experience
 
Neat in the way of an engineer's brainstorming and all....

but really, do you really want to be clearing rooms in dusty buildings in the sandbox carrying a huge carrier for what really is a pistol, staring at a little screen(and trying to rely on it) while also trying to operate that swivel bit to control your muzzle direction?
 
Its ####ing stupid - the answer to a non existant problem.

To dominate and clear a room you need to be there, not next "door"

I got to play with one - and could only think of using it to beat the designer to death.
