If I wanted to get a correct belt, holster and mag pouch set up for the 1911, as used by the various US military branches what would I need to get? For time period let's say WW2 and Vietnam eras.

Any sources for good quality repros would be great, but mostly I need the correct model numbers/names of the equipment.

Thanks,
Mark

WW2 US pistol belt setup would include a 1916 pattern leather holster, model 1936 web belt and a 1911 double pistol magazine pouch, either WW1 pattern double snap or WW2 pattern single snap. Lots of these are for sale on ebay.

For Vietnam you would be looking at M-1956 ILCE, M-1967 MLCE or M-1972 ALICE belts. ALICE LC-1 or LC2 belt, flap holsters UM84/M12 meant for Beretta M9 but most issued pistols fit. 1911 mostly has leather holsters and also has shoulder holster, not sure if that's what you're going for.

WWI rig: Boyt 1917 dated holster; LF&C 1918 dated canteen; Long 1917 dated canteen cover; LCC 1918 dated mag pouch; RIA 1918 dated bandage pouch; belt is original but no markings found.
