Correct sight alignment with Troy DOA BUIS?

Does anyone know what the correct sight alignment for the small diamond aperture (300-500m)?
There is the small notch above the small diamond. Is the top of the front sight post go in that notch or is it centred in the small diamond aperture?

It's the center of the top edge in the opening on the small aperture and dead center in the closed one.

Bring the front post up to fill the notch so it's flat across the top.

I don't have these. I just remembered the answer to your question when I was looking for a set of iron sights. I went with HK style diopter sights
