• The resident/non-resident rifle, shotgun, archery and
muzzle-loader deer season in WMU 45 has been extended
from five to seven days to include a weekend,
commencing the Saturday preceding the second Monday
in November.
• Seven days of the resident/non-resident archery season
in WMUs 61, 62, 68A and 68B have been converted to
a seven-day resident/non-resident muzzle-loader and
archery season that begins the first Monday following
November 28.
• The mid-November seven-day resident/non-resident gun
season in WMU 66A has been extended to a 14-day
season that begins the first Monday in November.
• The mid-November seven-day resident/non-resident
archery/shotgun/muzzle-loader season in WMU 69B has
been extended to a 14-day season that begins the first
Monday in November.
• The resident archery season in WMUs 79C and 79D has
been extended to open two weeks earlier on October 1.
• The early November resident/non-resident rifle, shotgun,
muzzle-loader and archery deer season in WMUs 82A,
82B, 83A and 84, which commences the first Monday in
November, has been extended by one day to include the
following Saturday.
• The five-day resident/non-resident muzzle-loader
season in WMUs 82A, 82B, 83A, and 84 has been
extended to a six-day resident/non-resident archery
and muzzle-loader season that begins on the first
Monday following November 28.
• The five-day resident/non-resident muzzle-loader
season in WMU 82B has been extended to a six-day
resident/non-resident archery and muzzle-loader
season that begins on the third Monday in November.
Pending
• Changes are being considered that would provide more
consistency between WMUs with regard to the opening
and closing dates for deer archery seasons. In addition,
changes are being considered for the resident archery/
muzzle-loader season and gun season in WMU 5 as well
as the resident and non-resident archery/muzzle-loader
season in WMU 11A. Please check with your local
ministry office or the ministry website for any further
information prior to the 2007 hunting season.
The following changes are being considered for the deer
hunt in WMU 28:
• lengthen the gun season from 7 days to 13 days that
will run from November 5 to the 17th in 2007
• create a new archery season commencing October 1
and ending November 4th in 2007
• expand deer hunting in WMU 28 to include the 13
geographic townships at the south end of the WMU.
