The warning about the old Ammomart 44 powder going bad bears true! I had 25 nickleplated 30-06 R-P brass resized to 8mm-06 loaded with the old 44 powder. I had some duds out of the 25, 5 I think it was. I pulled the bullets from the duds and found this, using a bore camera:
These are AFTER a good long time in a Franklin vibrating tumbler.
Edit: I pulled the bullets on a bunch more 8mm-06, some nickel plated brass, some just brass. No more corrosion. I fired off 16 nickel brass with 220 gr. Sierra/44 powder. No corrosion. Just seemed to be the first batch I shot a few days back. Go figure...
