Corrosive Ammo

So if you have a couple extra steps to clean your rifle (flushing with water) after using corrosive ammo, what was an army supposed to do to clean their rifle in the field. Say if they were fighting somewhere arid?
 
it won't eat the barrel over night :)

Also if it's cromed, well it does not corode that much, you need a long period of time.

Also don't forget that the goal his to put up fire in the air so the ennemy will pin himself down to get cover, the acuracy that could be lost his then not such a big deal.

Flush the barrel with hot water, windshield washer fluid or anything to disolve the salts. Then clean normaly. make sure to get the gas tube.. boiling water works better than cold water because it evaporates quicker. The ammo is not corrosive the salt reidue left behind (mostly from the primers) attracts moisture which will rust.
