so my understanding about the gas system is this.

So now I get a forearm that doesnt sit flush with the stock and leaves only a few mm of threading for the mag end cap.

So the piston rings go on, then the barrel and then the rubber donut. like i have in the top picture? Sorry if im a little confused. there were no instructions or labels that came with this firearm and tinkering around without any knowledge is a tad bit challenging. :) Thanks

So I've tried everything. Tried using the damn donut that comes with it. Tried an aftermarket o ring that s&b suggested. Still fitment is terrible. Not to mention that it doesn't cycle properly, one shell goes through and stays locked back. Any suggestions please. And yes I've watched every YouTube video and I can tell you that no these two shotguns are not the same.

ok, just got back from the range today and everything worked out nicely. the Cougar def likes more powerful rounds. low recoil doesnt cycle it properly but eats up mag rounds just fine. Thanks CanAm for your help earlier.

I wonder if that's something that will kind of break-in, I seem to see a lot of semi's require full power high-base rounds initially, but after 200 or so, will settle down. The round count on my Coug, is still zero, so I can't really say yet.

Zero?! C'mon take her out for a spin. It's just mean to let her sit in the safe.
