I recently got my PAL after many years of saying that I should fill the forms to get it. My father recently transfered me 2 rifles and a .410 bore.

I was invited to go skeet shooting this summer but I had to pass because I don't have any decent shotgun to do so and neither does my dad.

I recently found this shotgun on a website and I was wondering if it's a good deal or should I pass on this one.
Basicly, it's a 870 3inch supermag for 250 $ http://ww w.lespac.com/sports-loisirs/sports/charlesbourg/d-fusil-remington-LPaZZ24825044WWcpZZ25WWgrZZ8WWprovenanceprgZZS66S61S76
Keep in mind that this would be my first real shotgun (.410 doesnt really count :p ) and it would be used for hunting and for range shooting mainly.

Is it worth it or should I wait a little longuer.

Thank you for your advices,
Seb

I don't read french but from what i can tell it's an 870 3inch supermag? I'd say yes $250 is a great deal. However Buyer beware I've never heard of that site before, so I won't say there is anything wrong with it, just make sure you trust the seller before handing out your hard earned cash.

Also I may be wrong on this, but CGN rules say you can't hotlink(have a link that you can click on) to a non supporting dealer(dealers are those on the top of the page that pay for advertising). I'm not sure if that site counts as a dealer, but you may want to get rid of the hotlink( edit your post and put a space between the www's).

If I'm wrong on that, then someone will come along and correct me i'm sure.

But to answer your question, yes $250 for an 870 is a steal of a deal. ALMOST too good to be true, so make sure you do your homework.

That's what I was thinking. If it was at a gun store, I'd pick it up for sure even at $300, but over the net other than the EE here, I don't think I'd do it.

I bought my 870 at WSS. it was $275+tax THAT was a steal, considering it was a brand new 870 express 28inch bbl, wood furniture, threaded for chokes, but only came with 1(modified).

Well it's not from a store but from a classified ad type website and the seller lives 10 minutes away so I could go and have a look at it in person.

Ah well that's a whole nother story then. I'd say check it out, if possible fire it to make sure it's functional and then tell all your buddies your good fortune!

just to compare WSS has an 18inch 870 express for $360, but i doubt it's a magnum receiver....

If you can check the gun out in person and ensure it's in good order, I'd say it's a deal you can't pass by.

If it's a "buy before you see it" deal, I'd be passing it over ... a little too good of a deal in that case.
