Instead of fluting a factory barrel, I've been thinking about a octagon or maybe even spiral octagon. It's not better for cooling as theres less surface area, not sure of any advantages. I just think a 1 in 12 twist would look interesting. And would ya run it right to the muzzle or stop short a inch or more. Or maybe I've been locked up tooooo long.

I think Auto correct or auto complete changed the word "spiral" to "spiritual" in your post. I have never seem a spiraled octagon barrel, but it would definitely be unique (in a good way). If you do it please post pictures.
