Couldn't Focus Riton X1 when Zoomed

Finally got out to the range for the first time today. I had an issue with my scope, and being an absolute noob, am wondering if I was doing something wrong.

I have a Riton X1 Conquer 6-24x50. While shooting at 50 yards, I tried zooming in to get a better view of my shots, but when doing so I was completely unable to achieve focus. I did use the Fast Focus ring (which was turned all-the way in and clear at 6x), but it only seemed to make things even more out of focus.

Anyone have any ideas? I plan to hit the range again next week, so of course I'll be trying again. Just seemed odd to me.

Curiously, I had the same problem with my last Riton X1 Conquer 6-24x50. The first two I bought were great (I have three). The vendor replaced the scope and the new one was good. I should mention, the side focus/parallax knob was very tight in spots at first on the defective scope. Riton does have a lifetime warranty.

what he said.
The windage adjustment dial is on the right side of the scope. The Adjustable parallax dial is on the left, use that to "focus" at various distances.

My Parallax Adjust knob is incredibly tight as well. I did try fiddling with it, but probably need to give it another go to make sure I'm adjust both Parallax and Focus.

So happy with mine, I would buy a second. As you zoom up it accentuates focus errors. I found if I dialed up the zoom and saw focus diminish, I would adjust the parallax to maximize the focus, then fine tuned the fast focus. Once done I could dial up and down on the magnification and only adjust the parallax.

I also have a Concor 1 on my 6.5 x 55; wonderful scope as well.

Excuse me since I don't own a Riton, but I do have several other scopes. According to Riton, the 'Fast-focus eyepiece' is to adjust clarity of the reticle, Not clarity of the view. Specific section for it in the online manual -> https://www.optics-trade.eu/blog/riton-x1-conquer-6-24x50-instruction-manual/
This is what I've always believed and this thread seems to ignore that fact in several comments.
I would also add that at the highest magnification, eye relief distance becomes more critical with all scopes. 1" tube at 24 x means a very small field of view at 100 yards; in this case. 4.2' at 100 yards; 2.2' at 50; 1.1' at 25. Without near perfect eye relief distance and eye to scope alignment, all you will see is black.
