Haven't seen this posted yet so will warn everyone about the following bulletin from Bushnell Outdoor Products "Bushnell Canada's repair department has been receiving riflescopes for repair that are counterfeit. It seems that the majority of these scopes were purchased by consumers at either ebay.com or ebay.ca. The models that seem to be on ebay are the 763950e r/g, 6-24x50 AOEG riflescopes. Please note that Bushnell will not service or warranty these scopes! We thought that this info would be useful as consumers may try to bring them to your store for warranty or exchange." Phil.

I knowingly bought a somewhat "gray market" Bushnell Banner Dusk & Dawn AO mildot scope from China on ebay. I questioned the seller about the feature combination not appearing to be anything Bushnell actually makes and he told me it was a prototype line. It was dirt cheap ($19.00 plus some shipping) so I bought it anyways. It came with all authentic looking packaging and documentation, even the Canadian warranty card. I'm guessing they come from an official supplier to bushnell, but that they are selling them out the back door, so to speak. Anyhow, as to quality, it looks and works ok, but it has Ruby coated objective (is that what Dusk and Dawn's are supposed to have?) and the image has an annoying blue pale to it. Shoots and adjusts fine otherwise. I might stick it on a loaner / spare 22 rifle as it works well, but just isnt' optically what I would consider adequate.

I like to refer to them as Trashco
