Be easier to get a 35 Whelen pump, they are out there. ( may know of one that's available.) More cost effecetive to do this, as trying to find a 7600 barrel in 35 Whelen would be like trying to find hens teeth.

Edit to note: Ellwood Epps website has a custom 760 rem under used guns / pump & semi in 358 win, check it out.

Depends on the current chambering. If its bolt face is the same or close to the same size(any cartridge based on the .30-06), it'd be a matter of finding a barrel and having in installed. Likely $100 and up plus the cost of the barrel. You are likely looking at a custom barrel though. There's not much demand for aftermarket barrels for the 7600.
Iron sights can certainly be put on. I'm guessing, but you're probably looking at $50 to $100 plus the cost of the sights(that'll depend on the kind of sights you want). Where you have it done depends on where you are in Ontario. Epp's north of Orillia, Shooter's Choice in Waterloo, Precision Arms(?) in Nobleton all have competent smithies that can do both jobs.

It would have to be on a 270/30-06 action. The .308 action isn't long enough.

They all use the same action, just the clips use a diff slide to locate the bullets different :)

Be much easier to just buy a 7600 in 35W & sell whatever you got !
