One is an eotech clone I think. Never held the real thing. Double AA, reticle is a circle x hair with 3 dots vertical. Red and green. Dovetail. No markings. Are these pretty common.

The other recently bought from a nutter. Rechargeable coin style batteries, Trace Optic, many different reticles, red green, not much information on this brand. Is Crimson Trace Optic related?

The Trace Optics is not actually holographic, it's just your generic aliexpress quality red/green multiple reticle junk red dot made up for some company that probably doesn't even exist anymore.

The Eotech looking one looks like a fake and if it is red/green it's 100% a clone, and again won't actually be holographic but just a junk grade red dot put in an eotech looking housing.

Neither is worth much, maybe suitable for a 22 if you confirm it will hold zero.

Thanks the first one came on a xbow and I've used it on a 22 . Worked for years. Seems well made. The second one I just got from a fellow nut and just curious about the brand. Found some information on Trace Optic but only camera related.

They are both china made airsoft grade red dots. Does not matter what name is on the sides, they all come from the same factories. Useable for a .22, not much more.

More interested in the Trace Optic TR-554. It was sold by Bullseye North and Dantesports. No longer in stock. Just curious about the company. Not much information on it. I like the rechargeable battery. The eotech clone have no info on probably dime a dozen thought I'd throw it out there incase there was any interesting info. Has no branding works fine. Seen very similar one on Amazon with shorter batteries. The AA are nice since I can use rechargeable. Moving Optics around so thought of throwing out the question

I'm speculating, but I doubt the relatively high end trace optics company had anything to do with it. Often someone tries to start up an optics brand by importing some branded chinese junk, gonna say that's probably what happened. Only finding a couple expired listings in a couple Canadian stores fits.

That's what I found as well. Made in China doesn't really bother me in this case. Most things are made in China and Asia. Lots of Brand names.
